On my Statement of Activity by Donor, amounts are showing incorrectly on the report

On my Statement of Activity by Donor, we split incomes and expenses by our program (Donations - Adult, Donations - Children; Utilities-Adult, Utilities Children). When I post a donation, i.e. $25 from John, I split it .67 to Adult and .33 to Children. When I look at the report, it displays incorrect amounts. I follow the amount, and it looks to be input correctly, but the report displays incorrectly. Help!

On my Statement of Activity by Donor, amounts are showing incorrectly on the report

If your Statement of Activity by Donor is showing incorrect amounts, even though the donation splits appear to be entered correctly, the issue is likely due to how the donor (customer) and class/program are being applied to each split line of the transaction. In QuickBooks Online, when splitting a donation between programs (like .67 to Adult and .33 to Children), it’s essential to ensure that both the donor and the class are assigned to each individual split line, not just at the top or summary level of the transaction. To verify this, run a Transaction Detail by Account or Deposit Detail report, customize it to include the Donor and Class columns, and confirm that every line is coded properly. If a donor or class is missing from a split line, the Statement of Activity by Donor may not display the amount correctly. You should also double-check that your report is customized to include the right filters, such as class or program. If everything looks correct and the issue persists, it could be due to inconsistent use of classes or locations. By reviewing and updating each transaction’s split details, the report should display accurate donor totals across programs.
