Thanks for posting your question here in the Community. I'm here to provide information with having duplicate names.
In QuickBooks Online, if you have customers with the same name, here's how to change the display name:
- Hover over the Sales tab, and then select Customers.
- Click on the name of the duplicate customer.
- Choose Edit in the top right corner.
- Change the Display name as format to "last, first,' or you can also use a middle initial.
- When you're done, go to Save & Close.
