It started happening for me as well. I submitted Feedback. It seems like everything is slowly breaking...sometimes quickly!

Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, Kris412.

To verify my understanding, are inactive payment methods showing up with active ones, or are only one group displayed on your sales receipt screen?

If you could provide a screenshot, that could also help me to better understand what you're experiencing.

Once I have this information, I'll be able to do further research on my end. I'll be looking forward to your reply. Have a great Tuesday!

I have attached a screen shot and circled what is showing in the payment options.  These were not showing until last week and the setting is correct for them not to show.

I appreciate you informing us about this concern as you create your sales receipt, Kris412. I have some steps to isolate this issue.

When removing specific payment methods in QuickBooks Online (QBO), we need to inactivate them from the Payment Methods under All Lists. However, since it still shows in your dropdown after inactivating, we can use any private browser while creating a Sales Receipt to rule out any browsing history or cache files causing the problem. Kindly follow these steps:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

We can also clear your browser's cache and cookies or use other supported web browsers. This way, we can identify if the issue is related to your current browser.

If the issue persists after following the suggested steps, it's best to contact our QBO Support. This way, they can investigate why this is happening on your end using the tools they have.

Additionally, you can customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QBO to personalize and add specific info to your sales forms.

Feel free to notify us if you have further information or questions as you follow the suggested steps above, Kris412. We're still around to help you.

It corrected itself before I had a chance to follow the instructions given.  But thanks for the time to help.
