P&L previous year comparison with details

In the Quickbooks desktop report section, there is a "Profit & Loss Prev Year Comparison". Is there a way to get a detailed P&L in the report? I'm essentially trying to run a "Profit & Loss Detail" report and compare it to the prior year.

No, there's no option for that.

In this case, create two Detailed P&L reports and put them side-by-site for comparison.

@VikP

Consider having a BI app as a workaround.

Or consider a pretty basic feature to be added - there's no reason why I should have to do 6 exports for a six month comparison. REDICULOUS.

P&L previous year comparison with details

Hello there, @ESL01.

The option to show the prior year and current year when running the Profit and Loss Detail report isn't available in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

In the meantime, it is best to put forward your suggestions and feedback regarding this option to our product developer. Here's how:

  1. Select the Help option, and select Send Feedback Online.
  2. Select the Product Suggestion option. A pop-up window displays.
  3. Enter your feedback suggestion.
  4. Click the Send Feedback button.

You can always check out these links on how to run and customize your QBDT reports:

I'll be around if you need further assistance when running reports in QuickBooks Desktop. Keep safe!
