Let me share some information on how Paychex integrates with QBO.
By default, Paychex sets up the General Ledger posting factors for you initially. This covers all your preferences, including the syncing and exporting of files. You'll want to double-check the mapping in your Paychex account that to ensure that it can seamlessly connect with QuickBooks Online. Here's how:
However, if the mapping is already correct, I'd recommend directly contacting Paychex's Customer Support Team. This way, they'll be able to investigate this sync issue. You can get their contact information from their profile in the Apps menu.
Additionally, here's a reference that you can browse to help track your payroll and employee expenses in the program: Run payroll reports.
I'm still here if you need more help in working with the other areas in QuickBooks. Have a great rest of the weekend.
Hi michael-sellback,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the issue in your Paychex transactions. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
I have quickbooks self employed and am just starting to run payroll with an outside company (paychex). I would like to use quickbooks to bookkeep the payroll information. Is this possible in the self employed version or to I need to upgrade?
I will only have one employee
Welcome to the Community, @Ghram.
Yes, you need to upgrade your QuickBooks version so you can bookkeep the payroll information you run with an outside company (Paychex). Let me share further insights about this.
The QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) version is designed to help you track your self-employed income, expenses, mileage, and tax info. This version of QuickBooks is unable to record your payroll information.
You may opt to upgrade or switch from QBSE to QuickBooks Online (QBO) to keep up with your bookkeeping. When you're ready to do so, you can refer to this article for the complete guide: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online.
Also, you may want to check out this article as your reference to guide you in learning more about different QuickBooks products and versions: See which version of QuickBooks is right for you.
Let me know if you have other concerns about upgrading your QBSE account to QBO. I'm always here to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @Ghram.
Hi,
are any of the online quickbooks able to bookkeep payroll? Is the next one up from self employed sufficient ?
