POs: Ship To: How to stop auto creating entries?

Every time a Purchase Order is created against an existing "Drop Ship To" entry (a customer etc) a new entry gets created in the "Ship To" dropdown. No user is doing this, so we assume it's the QBDT application doing it. In some cases there are 25+ entries. Only (1) address is needed.  It never changes. Is it possible to get QBDT to stop doing that? Anyone else run into this issue?

Since you’ve confirmed that no manual changes, such as adding a new item to the Ship To dropdown, were made to trigger the sudden appearance of 25 entries, let’s troubleshoot this unexpected issue by using the QuickBooks Tool Hub to resolves this unusual behavior.

 

You can follow the steps below:

 

  1. Exit QuickBooks.
  2. Download the latest version of the QuickBooks Tool Hub and save it in an accessible location like your Downloads folder or desktop. If you've downloaded it before, check if it's up-to-date by selecting the Home tab at the bottom.
  3. Run the downloaded QuickBooksToolHub.exe.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. Double-click the icon on your desktop to launch the Tool Hub.

 

If you're unable to find the icon on your desktop, you can use the search function in Windows to locate the program and select it.

Hello there - I have to wait until after production hours to run the utility - perhaps tonight or this wknd.  So, from the sound of it, the behavior that's occurring, it's abnormal, not something that's configurable, then.  I'll update here once I have the chance to run the utility and test again to see if the behavior persists or not.
