In QuickBooks Desktop, there are built-in Purchase Orders reports that show both general summaries and more detailed information.
The Open Purchase Orders report shows you a list of your PO transactions and not by item. Since you’d like to bring up open purchase orders for a particular item, you’ll want to run the Open Purchase Orders Detail report instead.
Here’s how:
- Go to the Reports menu.
- Choose Purchases, then select Open Purchase Orders Detail.
- Click the Customize Reports button.
- Filter the date.
- In the Columns section, select Item.
- Press OK after.
