I am trying to clean up reconciliation discrepancies. All help I find say to use reports>accountant & tax>voided transaction report. I don't have that option. How can I repair a deleted transaction on my reconciliation discrepancies?

Hello, Martha.
I'll definitely share a way to help you check for the deleted transaction and fix your reconciliation in QuickBooks Mac.
It looks like that report is available in the Windows version only (Voided/Deleted Transactions Detail or Summary).
In QuickBooks Mac, we can use the Audit Trail report to check for the deleted transaction and use it as a reference to fix your reconciliation discrepancies.
Here's how to pull it up:
We can customize the report to filter out the data by clicking on the Customize button. Let's just make sure that the Date Entered/Last Modified drop-down menu covers the date on when the transaction was deleted.
Look for the deleted or voided transaction and repair it by using the transaction forms (invoice, sales receipt, etc..). Let's make sure to add all of the original details when recreating the transaction.
We can also use this guide to help us fix reconciliation discrepancies in the Mac version: Find reconciliation discrepancies (Mac).
After recreating or fixing the transaction, we can proceed with the regular reconciliation process.
Would you also like to review and check for your sales taxes after reconciling your accounts? This article will definitely come in handy: Review sales tax reports in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
I'm all ears if you have other concerns when reconciling your accounts. If you happen to come across any difficulties while recording your succeeding transactions, let me know and I'll work with you again.

Thank you, that was helpful, although I am having trouble locating and fixing the deleted transactions. I was able to use the discrepancy report to show me the items that needed to be fixed, but do I need to re-enter the deleted transaction in order to delete it correctly? I don't understand how that will correct the problem as there is still another deleted amount floating around.
Glad you're able to locate the items that need to be fixed, MarthaCR. I'm here to ensure the discrepancies get fixed.
Since you've already identified the items that cause the discrepancy, I'd suggest consulting an accountant to assist you on how to make these corrections. If you don't have one, you can use our Find-an-Accountant tool to look for an expert near you.
Additionally, I've added these resources that'll help you keep your accounts and your bank data accurate in QuickBooks Desktop:
I'm only a few clicks away if you need assistance in reconciling your accounts. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
