QBO Audit Log

Can the audit log be exported to excel?  When I look in reports section, the three dots are not showing to the right of the selection Audit Log.  Is there a restriction that may be preventing me from exporting?  I have admin user status.

Thank you.

QBO Audit Log

There are no restrictions that preventing you, @bluetilesky4.

Currently, exporting the Audit log to Excel is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. What we can do is to print the reports from there. I'll guide you how:

  1. Go to the Reports tab in the left navigation bar.
  2. Choose the Audit Log under Business overview.
  3. Filter the list to show the specific information you want to see the click Apply.
  4. Click on the Print icon located above the History column.
  5. Adjust your print settings as needed.
  6. Select Print.

Also, the three-dotted icon isn't present in the Audit Log cause we're unable to customize the report.

QBO Audit Log

I know that this is a year and a half later, but in case anyone else, like me, needs a sign-in/sign-out log put into Excel in order to run some employee functionality statistics.

As of right now, 3/3/2022, you can not save the audit log to XLSX.  You can only print it, and IF you print it to a PDF, it prints as an image, and not as text, so if you try to then export from PDF to XLSX, the formatting is broken.

An interesting thing I found about the Audit Log is that you can change the rows from the default of 50 to 100, and the resultant screen is an HTML page.  Just drag across the data and copy and paste it into a new XLSX sheet.
