QBO Custom Report

While this report groups by Class, it lists each time entry.  I don't want each time entry. Additionally, it does not give me the client's  name.

I need a report that groups by class and lists each client and invoice total:

CLASS1

8/1/24  John Doe   Atty Fees   Legal Fee Income  CLASS1   $    500

9/1/24   Jane Doe  Atty Fees    Undeposited Funds CLASS1 $    500

       total CLASS1                                                                       $1,000

QBO Custom Report

Hello there, @Accounting4050-2020.

You're in the perfect spot to get help with your question about generating custom reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Accessing the Sales by Class Detail report, you can view the list of each client and their invoice total and display the customer's column. Since the report is already grouped by class, adding a class column is not required, which is why it's grayed out. To do this, you can run a Sales by Class Detail report and customize it according to your preferences. Let me guide you on how:

  1. At the left navigation panel, go to Reports.
  2. In the search field type Sales by Class Detail.
  3. To customize the report, click the Columns and tick the box such as Date, Customer, Transaction type, Product/Service full name, Memo/Description, Qty, and Amount.
  4. Then Run report.
