I'll guide you on creating and sending an invoice to your customer in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Gary.

Yes, you're correct. You can directly send an invoice to your customers by following these steps:

  1. Click the + New button, then select Invoice.
  2. From the Add customer, choose a customer from the dropdown arrow or select + Add new for new customers and ensure to enter the correct information, especially their email address.
  3. Review the Invoice dateDue date, and Terms.
  4. Select Add product or service and select a product or service from the dropdown arrow.
  5. Click Review and Send.
  6. Once done reviewing, select Send invoice.

You can find more information about creating and sending invoices by visiting the article in QBO: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, I've added an article for you to learn how to personalize and add specific info to your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

I'm just a post away if you have additional questions regarding managing invoices or any QuickBooks-related concerns. Don't hesitate to leave a reply in the comment section. I'm more than willing to help.
