Quickbooks new invoicing update sucks . 2 hours with customer support and no resolve other than don't use the mobile app use chrome and the Internet on your phone.

Now I'm on the computer version and I've seen them made similar changes now we have no way to put in the date of service.
This whole thing looks ugly and it feels like we're just thrown out . To figure it out ourselves I think it's time for quickbooks to listen to us clients who've been here for more than a decade using their services and putting up with these updates that we didn't ask for and didn't approve of

I can see how the new invoice layout affects your experience, Don.

I want to assure you that the new layout enhances your invoicing experience and provides a more streamlined and professional look to your invoices. While adjusting to the new layout may take some time, once you become familiar with it, you will find it easier to navigate and customize to meet your specific needs.

While the new invoicing experience will be transitioned to our new interface by the end of May, and there will be no option to revert to the previous layout. I suggest sending feedback to our engineering team. Our team continuously works to improve our services and add more user features. We highly value your suggestions. All your ideas will be carefully evaluated and considered for inclusion in our future product developments. So, please share your thoughts with us. We appreciate your valuable input.

To submit Feedback for QuickBooks, here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Provide your product suggestion.

That is your OPINION, not a basis on fact. You do not know the customers needs better than your customer. Maybe you should actually listen to feedback from the end users or your product instead of talking down to them as if they were children. Unreal.

How the heck do we change it back? This is AWFUL, there is basically NO customization for switching the columns, names, widths ect unless we use our old templates - but then we can't see what it's going to look like until we download it? WHY would they make a permanent change without letting customers test it out first & give feedback, then revert back to our old invoicing?

As someone who switched from Quickbooks Desktop, I am very annoyed Quickbooks Online is changing everything to look sleek without giving any real personalization or customization.

The new update is a severe blow to efficiency and user-friendliness. The experience with this new update is disliked by everyone I've spoken to on our team. We have lost the option to delete from invoice, make a copy, switch to future calendar years with one click, save as PDF, etc. Additionally, the internal view doesn't match the external view of the invoices, so the experience is disjointed. It's a terrible update that feels worse, not better, over time. Quickbooks has taken away some of our favorite features and added superfluous ones. We would very much like the option to revert to the old format/interface.

I agree. These updates are awful. At the end of every month I create invoices for reimbursement from our customers for expenses we paid on their behalf. Now when pulling in billable expenses the date will not follow. After almost 3 hours on chat with several QB people the solution is to manually enter the date in each field, one by one. Which of course you can't see when creating the invoice so first you have to make a separate report. With the volume of invoices I have to create this added HOURS to my month-end process. But no worries as QB repeatedly assured me that these updates are somehow an improvement.

Yes, I'm finding that the invoices are difficult to lay out, and often buggy - for example, today I had to type in quite a lot of the product description before I could finally click on the name of the product and add it to the invoice. If I typed in less of the name, I could not click on it and add it to the invoice. I have no idea why this is so. I promise I'm not an inept user of computers - this is a bug, not user error.

And the lack of ability to lay the new invoices out, even to set page breaks, is extremely poorly thought through. I find that invoices run literally (not a hyperbolic "literally": this is actually the case) run right up to the end of the page (i.e. no bottom margin at all) and then start literally right at the top of the next page (no top margin at all) breaking up product names and descriptions in a completely illegible way. I've had to buy a separate subscription to Adobe Acrobat to adjust the pagination on invoices - thanks for that extra expense, QB.

The answer the QB support person gave at the beginning of this thread is obnoxiously patronizing and completely ignores the real issues users are facing. As others have already recommended, I'd encourage QuickBooks customer service to listen rather than to offer glib, meaningless reassurances. I've learned dozens of software platforms and adapted to countless updates, taking them all in my stride. This "improvement" is a lemon. You really need to take this feedback seriously and address these issues.
