Receipts appear under transactions. When i attempt to upload the receipts to my expenses it says error every-time, very frustrating and any fix??

There are acceptable file types for attachments. Also, the maximum file size is 20MB. We have to make sure that the file is in either of these formats:

  • PDF
  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • DOC
  • XLSX
  • CSV
  • TIFF
  • GIF
  • XML

We can troubleshoot your browser to see if this is a browser issue. The first one is by using an incognito window. From there, you can attach the receipt to the expense transaction.

 

Another way is by clearing the cache. This is a junk file on the browser that can cause errors in QuickBooks Online. Also, make sure that the browser is updated.

 

Aside from attaching the receipt to the expense, you can also send a copy of it via email. Once successful, QuickBooks Online will create an expense transaction out of it. All you need to do is to categorize it. Please check this article about emailing receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.

that is not at all helpful, I tried all that and multiple computers, i pay for this so i expect it to work and not cause me a headache. they are already uploaded app works find, on your desktop app, i got to transactions, reciepts, then i hit add expense, and get a error every single time its is extremely frustrating and i would like this problem fixed immediately.

I understand it can get frustrating having to go through multiple steps and none of them work, eaglepointroofin.

 

I appreciate you for performing there recommended solutions and trying it for multiple computers. Receipts related issues usually require troubleshooting steps that need to be performed more than one attempt. 

 

In this case, I'd suggest contacting our Technical Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and investigate what's causing this issue. You can also provide the specific error message you've encountered. This way, it would be easy for our phone agent to check if there's a reported case about that one.

  1. Click the Help icon on the top right. 
  2. Tap the Contact Us button at the bottom. 
  3. Enter a short description of your concern. 
  4. Tick Continue
  5. Choose Message an agent to connect with our support.
