I'm using QB Desktop Pro 2021. I have been able to upload receipts using the android QB app. The only way I have been able to review these receipts in QB Desktop is by clicking on the Discovery Hub (which shows and explains new QB features), clicking on Receipt Management, and then the box that says "Take Me There," taking me to the Receipts Management menu where I have been able to review and add receipts to transactions and/or create new transactions based on the receipts. So the functionality works. But I cannot get there any way but through the Discovery Hub. This is problematic since QB Desktop is full of bugs, where sometimes the Discovery Hub doesn't even show up in the top bar (not to mention all the Unrecoverable Errors I have been getting since migrating to Windows 11).
Any advice?
Thank you!
Allow me to lend a hand here, @jnagar79.
I understand how important it is to navigate QuickBooks efficiently. I'll show you the steps to review the receipts in QuickBooks Desktop when you upload them from the QuickBooks Mobile app.
Since you can't access the feature due to intermittent showing of the Discovery Hub, you can directly go to the receipt management page by following the steps below:
You also have other options to capture and upload receipts in QuickBooks Desktop. Check and find the best and easier way for you.
To make sure QuickBooks is running with all the components it needs, let's run the QuickBooks Tool Hub. I suggest you perform an update regularly through the program or through the website to fix issues when QuickBooks stops working.

Receipt Management does NOT show up on the Vendor menu, you may have missed this point that I laid out in the original support request.
Thanks for getting back to us, @jnagar79.
I'll share some steps so you'll be able to view the Receipt Management feature. First, make sure your program has the latest release version. For the steps, please check this guide: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.
After running the update, restart your computer and then log in as the QuickBooks Admin. Then, go back to the Vendors menu and see if you're now able to view Receipt Management.
If you're experiencing the same result, repair your QuickBooks. This process will help fix common error in the program right away. Refer to this article for the instruction: Repair your QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.
I've performed all these steps. It still does not show up.
I know this isn't an easy process for you, @jnagar79.

Nope, not a duplicate of the thread you linked: different problem altogether. Did you happen to read my thread (and the other)?
I've read and reviewed this thread, @jnagar79. I'm here to provide some clarifications about your issue with handling receipts in QuickBooks.
Based on your scenario, I recommend running Quick Fix my program. This helps resolve common errors in QuickBooks. You'll have to first download the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Then you can access the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool. Here's how:
In addition, you can utilize the Verify and Rebuild feature in QuickBooks. This will resolve the most common data integrity issue in your software.
Let me also include this module on how you can manage unrecoverable errors in QBDT.
Feel free to reply back in case you need more help with receipt management or QuickBooks in general. We're here to guide you through. Take the best care!
Thanks. I've actually performed those two steps several times, most recently yesterday, in trying to troubleshoot this problem (as well as the other). No dice. Any other ideas as to what's going on? My next step is to uninstall/reinstall QB, but that's a hassle.
Hello @jnagar79,
I appreciate your constant communication with us about the missing option. Allow me to chime in and help you so you can get this feature to show from the menu in QuickBooks Desktop.
I can see that the option is still unavailable after you performed the necessary troubleshooting steps. Since the problem persists, It would be best to proceed with contacting our QuickBooks Support Team.
Our support will need to take over and further assist you with the feature to access it from the menu. The next rep will check this on your behalf using tools to verify your account, like the subscription version and other information.
For Pro, Premier, and Plus, they are available from 6 AM - 6 PM PT (Monday - Friday). For Enterprise, any time, any day. See the steps to get a hold of a specialist:
You can also check this article for more details about how to use the QuickBooks Tool Hub to repair QuickBooks: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.
Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions about the Receipts Management feature or navigating QuickBooks. I'll be happy to help you some more.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I will need to have an active support subscription in order to interact with your support team? I am not interested in spending hundreds of dollars just to find out this is not repairable...
That's correct, @jnagar79.
There's no additional payment for support if you have active subscription with us. Just follow the steps provided by my peer@AlcaeusF on how to reach out.
Don't hesitate to reply if you have other questions or concerns we're here to help. Take care and stay safe.
I do not have an active subscription, I own my copy of QB desktop. When I called previously they told me I was ineligible for support. Please help clarify?
We appreciate you for getting in touch with us again and for the additional information, @jnagar79 . I'm back to provide more information to ensure everything is sorted out.
Currently, there is a fee for support if you don’t have an active subscription plans with QuickBooks Desktop.
Also, the option to upload receipts to QuickBooks Desktop requires you to have Pro Plus, Premier Plus, or Enterprise subscriptions. Since you mentioned you don’t have an active subscription, it could be the reason you're unable to see the Receipt Management option from the Vendors menu.
In case you subscribe to a plan and still get the same issue, I suggest reviewing the user permission guide. There are specific permissions you would need to set to get access to Receipts Management. Please scroll down to How to give user access to receipt management in this support link: Upload receipts to QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus or Enterprise.
Furthermore, I'm adding this guide about handling user roles in QBDT: Create and manage users and roles in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
We're available 24/7 for assistance. Don't hesitate to comment back to this thread if you need extra help or clarifications about this matter. Stay safe.
I am in the same position as you. I was not aware that I could access receipt management through the discovery hub. Thanks for the QuickBooks hack!
