Reclassify Transactions by Bank Account

Is there a way to batch reclassify all transactions in one bank account to a new class? I'm running 2 very similar and intertwined businesses in Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions: Accountant 22.0 and want to be able to run a P&L and a Balance Sheet for each bank account separately. My main problem is that on the Reclassify Transactions page it doesn't show what bank account the transactions are coming from so it makes batch reclassifying seem impossible.

Reclassify Transactions by Bank Account

Good afternoon, @kkeen4146

It's great to see a new face here in the Community. I can give you some additional information to help you out.

Have you tried using the steps listed in the article below to reclassify transactions?

If not, I recommend doing these actions. If so, let me know so that I can determine the best solution for your business.

I'll be waiting for your response!

That doesn't help much. I'm looking to batch reclassify an entire bank account not an entire expense account. If there was a way to see in that reclassify screen what bank account the transactions are coming from that would be fantastic. Also, it would help if you could see class in the check register.

Reclassify Transactions by Bank Account

Hello there, kkeen4146. Thanks for getting back to us.

I got the point you're making. However, the option to filter or customize the transactions is limited to expense account, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet account. Still, you'll be able to view all the transactions by selecting All.

I recommend sending this product suggestion to our developers. There is no limit to how much or how often you can provide comments or thoughts to our developers. You can share how beneficial to have an option to see what bank account the transactions are coming from when reclassifying transactions. Also, include your thoughts about the class in the register.

To log your product suggestions inside your company file. Just go to the Help Menu and select Send Feedback Online and then Product Suggestion.

Still, I recommend checking this article to get more details about reclassifying transactions in QuickBooks: Accountant tools: Reclassify your client’s transactions.

We're all right here to help in case you still need assistance. Take care and stay safe.
