Report from specific date until 'today' (whatever 'today' is)

In Short: I would like to have a report whose start date is 9/1/2019 and end date is today (whatever date today is when the report is run)

Explanation:

There are a few reports that I have which I want to be from a specific date until today

In the date range dropdowns, there are "... to date" and that is what I want but I want to be able to set the start date to something specific.

When I try to type a start date and leave the end date blank, QB does the exact opposite, it makes the date I typed as the end date and the start date remains blank!

Is there any way I can achieve this?

Unfortunately no.

If none of the date presets are what you want, then setting the date range manually is the only option.
