When I run certain reports, the class assigned to a transaction does not show up in the report under the "Class" header.

This happens when the class is assigned to the transaction's source accounting "row", like a checking account row for a check or the A/R row for an Invoice, but not assigned to the detail rows, and the report only shows the detail rows.

If you also assign classes to the detail rows, then they'll appear on the report.

As a general rule, which Class field is the better one to use?

Also, what if you have multiple lines in a single transaction for different classes?
