Why does the J/E report now show bills entered and not just J/E's? I have tried to filter and run a new report. I have been using QB's for 25 years and online for 10 years so I know my way around. Nothing is working. QB's online makes me so aggravated by constantly changing things and screwing up other things. Before any update is launched they need to try everything to make sure it is screwed up!
Hello, amcabee.
This isn't the experience we want you to have and appreciate your continued use of QuickBooks over the years.
I tried filtering the report to show all journal entries, and it worked perfectly. Did you filter the new reports to show only Journal Entries under the Transactions Type field when you ran them? If this is the case, you may have encountered a cache problem caused by outdated files stored on your browser.
Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix it. You can start by accessing your account using an incognito window. This mode help fix it since it doesn't save any internet files. Here are the shortcut keys to use:
If it works, go back to your normal browser and clear the cache. This will help refresh QuickBooks and remove unwanted data. You could also try another supported browser.
Please take a look at the following links as well. These will show you how to fix customer and vendor balances, as well as AR and AP balances, for future use:
I'm just right here if you have any other QuickBooks-related concerns. Wishing you and your business continued success.
We're having the same issue with our accounts for QBO. All reports are showing all types of transactions regardless of filters. Customer support tried to even tell me this was a new feature! Hah!
Thanks for joining the thread, SFP_AP.
I'm determined to make your experience with our support better. Filtering reports is important, particularly for business owners like you. As I've checked further and discovered that we have an ongoing investigation with the filter not working.
For the time being, our engineers are working to fix the filter feature. I encourage you to contact QuickBooks Online Support once more to add you to the list of affected users. This ensures you'll be notified once the problem has been resolved.
In the meantime, you can export your report to Excel. You can then delete or remove any transactions you don't want to include in the report.
In addition, I've added the following resources to help you streamline the reporting process in QuickBooks Online:
You're welcome to post again if you need anything else. I'll be around to help you.
