Buy nowHi there,
I do bookkeeping for a Franchise that sells products to multiple franchisee locations. I would like to run reports that tell me how much of a certain product is being purchased by a specific location instead of a general report just telling me everything I sold to that location. Need to zoom in with more detail.
For instance the Sales by Product/Service Summary Report only gives me the totals of all locations combined. No way I can see to generate this report by class.
With the Sales by Customer Summary Report I was able to get more detail by assigning each franchisee location as a customer name and it splits the sales by location. But I need to zoom in more. I would like to see how much of one particular product is being sold at one location with all products and services being sold to that location. So Location<Product Or Service <Quantity Sold by Day, Month, Or Year, Total made by day, month, or year.
Hope that makes sense! Hard to explain.
Let's run the report you need, haydenschmidt.
You can run the Sales by Class Detail Report. This shows sales, grouped by class. date, transaction type, product or service, quantity, rate, amount, and balance. From this report, you can filter it to show specific locations. I'll show you how to achieve it below:
You may want to check this article about running a report by class to review the transactions: Run reports by class.
Here's an article made handy about modifying columns on the report: Customize and modify columns on reports.
I also have some additional articles about managing a wide range of reports in QBO:
Get back to me if you need help with something else. I'd be happy to assist. Enjoy the rest of the day!
Hi, haydenschmidt.
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about running the Sales by Product/Service Summary Report By Class that you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
Hello! I am trying to run a similar report, but there is no Sales by Class Detail Report available to me, as was mentioned in the solutions above. Is there a different way to filter my report to get this level of detail? Thank you!
