You've come to the right place, @Zubairuddin Mohammed.

You've received the prompt because the date of the transaction you're trying to record is after the start date of the inventory item. I can guide you on how to do it.

  1. Click the Gear icon (⚙).
  2. Choose Products and Services.
  3. Look for the inventory item.
  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. On the Quantity on hand, select Starting value.
  6. Click the Got it button.
  7. Change the date under As of date.
  8. Hit Save and close.

Once completed, you can start entering your past sales entry in QuickBooks. You can browse this article to learn more about managing your inventory items: Set up and track your inventory in QuickBooks Online.

I'm here to provide you the additional information you need,@Zubairuddin Mohammed.

Yes, it has to be done manually since the inventory item was entered individually and has a different date. Once you're done changing the inventory date you can check with third-party applications that offer a feature to import sales receipts.

To check for a third-party app you may visit this link: apps.intuit.com

To easily track the quantity on hand, get alerts when it’s time to restock, and see insights on what you buy and sell, you may check this article for more details: Use reports to see your sales and inventory status.

Make sure to drop your question in the comment section and I'll be happy to assist you further. Have a good day!
