Sales by Customer Detail error

The monthly Sales by Customer Detail report is showing some (not all) exempt items as taxed and is adding them into the total taxable amount. However, the taxable amount in the monthly Sales Tax Liability report is accurate. The total taxable amount in both reports should match, and they don't. This is not an issue with the browser, cookies, or settings; it is a Quickbooks programming issue. The new Quickbooks changes have been frustrating and are causing me to search for a different accounting software. Please address. Thank you.

Sales by Customer Detail error

It's good to see you here, @smittysauto10. Let me provide you with some helpful information about the Sales by Customer Detail error you've encountered. I am here to assist you in any way I can.

QBO may include it in the taxable amount in the Sales by Customer Detail report based on the state sales tax policies. I recommend verifying your customers' addresses and mapping your items to their appropriate tax categories.

Furthermore, If you need clarification, review each transaction in both reports and ensure the selected tax rates are correct. Make sure that the data is filtered and customized correctly and that the same accounting method is used when viewing both reports.

If you are confused, review each transaction in both reports and ensure the selected tax rates are correct. You can view this article for more detailed information: Learn how QuickBooks Online calculates sales tax.

Thank you for response. I have used different browsers, cleared cookies, checked the settings, etc etc etc, and the issue is not resolved. This leads me to believe it is a Quickbooks programming issue. Am I the only user having this issue? What is preventing Quickbooks from resolving this matter?

Sales by Customer Detail error

Greetings and thank you for your response and guidance. I have been down this road before. Calling Quickbooks for these particular issues is very time consuming and disabling for the work day. All was running well until the new forms started to take effect, so let's investigate the forms and programming on your end. I have exhausted all reasonable options on my end. Thank you for your time.
