Hello, @sa14.
Thank you for posting here in the Community. In QuickBooks Online, you'll need to turn on the location feature and create a class to assign multiple distributors.
Here’s how:
After that, let's add a location by going to the Settings ⚙️ icon, then choose Locations underneath the All Lists tab. And click New to enter a location, then tap Save and close. See the screenshots below:
Once done, let's create a sample invoice by going to the Plus icon to see how it works in the invoice template. I've attached a screenshot for your reference:
Additionally, you can always run Sales report from the Reports menu. This way, you can check and print the particular locations you've set up. Simply hit the Customize button on the upper right side, then choose a specific address under Filter. Please visit this article: Run reports by class.
I've got this screenshot for your visual guidance:
You can also use a third-party app as by Fiat Lux - ASIA mentioned above. Don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you have follow-up questions. I'm always to help. Take good care.
Such a feature option is not available in QuickBooks Online —any plans.
Look for 3-rd party app, even that may or work not for your business.
Now that I have multiple inventory sites, how do I assign inventory to each site?
Now that I have multiple sites set up, how do I transfer inventory to a particular site? Or assign inventory to a particular site?
Thanks for coming back, K_ingram.
The option to transfer or assign inventory items from one location to another is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This feature is only available in QuickBooks Desktop version.
In QBO, it doesn't have multiple locations for inventory. The location tag is for transactions when creating an invoice and not for actual locations.
You'll want to look for a third-party application that might help you transfer the inventory items to a particular site. Just go to Apps on the left side menu. Then, choose the Find Apps tab and look for the inventory third party application.
You can also go to this site to find one: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/.
Intuit does not provide recommendations or support for third-party applications or websites. If you have an issue you will need to contact the provider of the third-party product.
I've got a link here that provides you with articles about managing your inventory items: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/inventory/07?product=QuickBooks%20Online.
I'm just one post away if you need a hand with running your financial reports or any QBO related. I'll be here to help. Take care always.
QBO doesn't have the multi warehouse feature. You should deploy an inventory management app

If you are a manufactruing company, we may recommend another app to explore.
How can I locate each item to each warehouse so that when I make an invoice I can know where the item is???
Hello, M-Nabil.
Using warehouse feature isn't available in QuickBooks Online. As mention above you can utilize a third-part app that integrates with QuickBooks.
In the meantime, You can visit our QuickBooks Blog and QuickBooks Resource Center. From there, you can see the future developments and the latest news about QuickBooks and what our Product Care Team is working on.

You need to have an inventory management app to manage multi warehouses.

The link to managing inventories is broken.
TradeGecko is QB Commerce now. You can use it to manage multi warehouse or use a 3rd party app to integrate with QBO.
