Set up the inventory item for new company

It's nice to see you here today, @accounts276. I've got the steps you need to set up an inventory item for your new company.

First, let's enable the inventory tracking feature in the settings. This way, you can add the inventory item in QuickBooks. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Settings (Gear) icon at the upper right.
  2. Select Account and Settings under Your Company
  3. Choose the Sales tab.
  4. Click Products and services.
  5. Check the Show Product/Service column on sales forms box.
  6. If you want to set up flexible pricing for the things you sell, turn on price rules.
  7. Turn on both Track quantity and price/rate and Track inventory quantity on hand.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Choose Done.

  2. Select Products and Services.
  3. Click New.
  4. Choose Inventory in the Product/Service information window.
  5. Enter a Name, SKU, and select Class
  6. Add your product’s Initial quantity on handAs of date, and Reorder point

Once done, you can track the item when you sell it. Just create an invoice or a sales receipt. Then, restock your inventory if it's running low or out of stock. Also, you can run reports to view your sales and inventory status. For more details, see Step 3 to 5 through this article: Set Up And Track Your Inventory In QuickBooks Online

Please let me know if there's anything else you need. I'll gladly help, @accounts276
