Setting up products and services so i can invoice the way i need too and get the reports i want

Welcome aboard to the Community, Tahoe Steve.

Setting up items and services is quick and easy. Let’s go to the Products and Services page to add them. I can walk you through the step by step process.

  1. Hit the Gear icon at the top and pick Products and Services under All Lists.
  2. Tap the New button in the upper right to open the Product and Service window.
  3. From there, select how you want to track the item/s: Inventory, Non-inventory, Service, or Bundle.list mgt.1.png
  4. Then, enter the product’s details in the field boxes.list mgt.2.png
  5. Press Save and close or Save and new to add another one.

For more information about product classifications, check out this article and go directly to the Learn about product and service types section: Add product and service items to QuickBooks Online.

After setting up these items, they will show in the Product/Service column on the Invoice page. list mgt.pngAdditionally, these links cover all the instructions on how to set up inventory goods and change each classification.

Click the Reply button if you need further assistance performing any of these steps. I’ll jump right back in to help. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
