Intuit removed those fields from the new invoices. They're pretty sure you don't need them, and that those old invoices had just way too many features.
Hello there, @TacoBoutPins. We know tracking and ship date fields on the invoice are essential for your business. Let us share insights regarding this.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) recently completed the migration of its customers to a new invoice experience on December 11, 2023. As a user, you may have noticed that the updated invoice experience does not include a tracking and shipping date field. We understand that having shipping details on your invoices can help improve your business processes and customer satisfaction.
We assure you that our product development team is still improving QBO's features and functionality. Since you would like to request the addition of a tracking and shipping date field, we recommend sending your feedback again to our product development team. They carefully review all user feedback and suggestions to determine which features may include in future updates.
As a temporary solution, you can still switch to the Old layout if you have the option to do so.
Moreover, consider scanning these articles as your guidance in managing your invoices inside QBO:

From the new invoice layout that was clearly created by some lickspittle who has never actually worked at/owned a business and used this (or any) platform, you have to click:
Manage (top right) --> Customize --> Custom Fields Manage --> Add Field (IF you have any available. Remember: you only get three! Use them wisely, because what company has more/different needs?!) Then make sure you click the option to "print on form". Or if you've already added the fields, go to EDIT on said field and make sure the option to "print on form" is checked. Welcome the the Seventh Circle!
Thank you, I will continue to submit feedback requesting the additional fields, they are very important to businesses.
Thank you, I will continue to submit feedback requesting the additional fields be included. It is very necessary for many business to include shipping information, especially when the form allows us to include the shipping charges as a line item. If we have a charge, we have a tracking number.
Weird they left the option to include shipping cost as a line item and removed the option to include a tracking number in a field, LOL!
I am experiencing a similar issue:
In previous Invoices I put the Customer issued PO number in the field labelled as "Tracking"; I have just Duplicated a complex Invoice, and modified the PO number to reflect the current Project … But, when I Preview the Invoice it shows, right in the top middle of the Invoice, an earlier PO number !!??
This will, no doubt, confuse and delay processing of this Invoice for the Customer.
This customer is a Fortune 50 company. They will, no doubt, view Intuit as a small-time, fly-by-night, sophomoric Service Provider with no pride of confidence in their own enterprise.
How can you not be embarrassed by so many failures upon failures?
So is the solution no solution? QB Online has a shipping cost field that can be to the invoice, but no tracking number field? Do they think people bill for shipping costs but don't physically ship anything? None of the solutions posted are viable. We are running a business and need business features available. Requesting QB adds back a tracking number field seems like a reasonable request.

Then why did Intuit take it away as they "improved" the invoices?
To re-state my issue:
The PO field REMAINS in the Invoice template(s), with NO way to Disable or Remove it …
Can your Developers temporarily re-instate the User's ability to Access and Modify this Field ..?
