Trying to create progress invoices from existing estimate and with new update I am not able to do that. How can I get around this problem?

Welcome to the Community, @gtpaintingandcar. I'm here to guide you on creating progress invoices from your existing estimate in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

First, let's turn on progress invoicing in the settings. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings, then choose Sales.
  3. Navigate to the Progress Invoicing section. Click the Pencil icon to edit.
  4. Toggle the button to turn it on.
  5. Click Save and Done.

If progress invoicing is already on, but you're unable to create an invoice, we may need to do some troubleshooting to determine the root cause of the issue. One potential reason could be that your browser cache is full, which can adversely affect the program's performance and prevent you from creating the invoice.

To fix this, we can start by opening an incognito or private browser window. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts depending on what browser you're using:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once you have opened the browser window, log in to your QuickBooks account and see if you can create the invoice. If you can, proceed to clear your browser's cache. This process will remove and fix specific issues and help the program run optimally. Additionally, you can use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.

After sending and receiving the invoice payment, you can now record it in QBO.

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional concerns about your progress invoices. I am here to provide further assistance. Have a good day!
