I want to ensure you can accurately pull up your transactions, and I'm here to help you achieve that, @msclean76.

Firstly, if you're pulling up the Transaction List by Customer report, please ensure you tick or check the Invoice date box. This way, you can view the invoice date and your customer name.

For visual reference, I've added a screenshot below:

However, if you navigate to the Sales section under the Customers tab, we can adjust the zoom feature to enlarge the size of your web page.

Here's how:

  1. In the upper right corner, click the vertical ellipsis icon.
  2. Then, look for the Zoom in the lists.
  • Click the minus (-) icon to make everything smaller.

Alternatively, you can also use this keyboard shortcut:

  • Zoom out: Ctrl and -

Lastly, I've added a resource you can browse to help you customize your reports to show a list of invoices due on a specific date: Create invoices report in QuickBooks Online.

I'm just one post away if you have additional questions about handling your invoices. I'll get back to ensure everything is taken care of for you.

I’m not doing any “report”. I’m simply under sales, transaction list by customer.  Under settings to add or remove columns there is no longer an Invoice Date for a column.  Quickbooks shows doing work in here and it looks like they made it worse.

This is not a “report”.  I’m under Sales, Transaction List, Customer.  The Invoice Date column is gone and not even an option to choose from.  Also the columns are cutting off .  This is all new within the past month.  Quickbooks shows doing changes in this Sales area and they seem to have messed something up.

The Transaction List window already have the invoice date column by default, msclean. You can scroll down and click the left arrow icon to make the date visible. After that, close the Search by Name or Details window on the left side. I'll show you how.

On the Customer page, scroll down and click the left arrow icon until the date appears. You can also close the window that appears on the left side by clicking the hamburger icon. Please refer to the sample screenshot below for further assistance.

If the same thing happens, you can access the QuickBooks Online account in a private browser to check if the missing date column is due to your browser settings or extensions. Here are the shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

If it works fine, clear the browser cache to boost your browser's speed and overall performance. You can also use another browser.

Additionally, there is a Feedback icon for expressing concerns or sharing experience about the new update, especially regarding the Customer page.

Please add a new post below if you have concerns about QuickBooks. We'll be available to provide assistance.
