Use the Accountant Center

The Accountant Center gives easy access to the QuickBooks features that accountants use most.

Note: The Accountant Center is only available in QuickBooks Accountant.

To open the Accountant Center

Choose Accountant > Accountant Center.

Tools

Click a link in the Tools section to use that feature. To add to or remove links from the Tools section, click the Customize link. This section includes tools also available in the Client Data Review.

Reconciliation

For each bank or credit card account in the company file, the Reconciliation section shows:

  • The date of the last reconciliation

  • The reconciled balance

  • The current balance

Click an account link to open that account's register. To begin reconciliation for any account, click the Reconcile button.

Memorized Reports

This section lists memorized reports. Click the Select Group drop-down arrow to select a group from the memorized reports list. Click the Display Group button to view or print multiple reports.

Accountant Updates

Click the links in the Accountant section to stay up to date with offers and advice from Intuit.

Use the Accountant Center

Hi @tallgolferps.

Thanks for joining us here today. I'll make sure you can get the link accounts working. Let's run the Verify and Rebuild tools as our first troubleshooting steps. These tools help identifies and resolves most data integrity issues. Let me guide you how.

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop, go to File.
  2. Select Utilities, and then choose Verify Data.

If QuickBooks detected an error, proceed with rebuilding the file. Here's how:

  1. Go to File.
  2. Select Utilities, and then click Rebuild Data.

After running the tools, restart your computer and check the links again.

If you're getting the same result, you'll want to download and run our QuickBooks Tool Hub. Then, launch QuickBooks File Doctor. For the step-by-step instructions, check out this article: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Tool Hub.

In case you need help with other QuickBooks Desktop-related tasks, feel free to browse this link to go to the page. It has our general QuickBooks topics, video tutorials, and Community answers: View all help for QuickBooks Desktop.

Please drop a reply if you have follow-up questions or concerns about the link accounts. I'm more than happy to answer them for you. Take care and have a good one.
