Our Vendor is passing other charges (demurrage fee) to us for a recent order. I created a bill and added the demurrage fee to the items. This allows me to choose this fee while allocating landed cost. Everything looks great.
However, I keep seeing these other charges show up when I Receive Items. But it doesn't really make sense to receive these charges as they aren't inventory items -- I think.
Am I supposed to receive "Other Charge" items? Or is there a way to stop "Other Charge" items from showing up during the Receive Items process?
Hi there, glbenson.
The demurrage fee will show up on the Receive Items entry since it's part of the transaction. Just make sure that you set it up as a service item so it won't affect your inventory.
If you need to update the item type, here's how to do it.

Hi @MaryLandT ,
Got it. So it's normal procedure to use Receive Items on non-inventory items, services, and other charges?
