Buy nowSince the last big update I lost the ability to run a report for the sales by product/services. Have it moved? Is that no longer available on the Simple Start level of QB Online?
I recognize that software interfaces and features can change. Thus, locations or access to reports may have been altered in an update, @twood721. Let me share information about the Sales by Product/Service report.
If you're referring to the Sales by Product/Service Detail report, please note that it's unavailable in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Simple Start plan. You can refer to this comparison guide to learn more.
On the other hand, if you mean the Sales by Product/Service Summary report, it's still accessible and hasn’t moved. I recommend checking the Reports section and looking for it through the search function.
If you're unable to find it, you can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. Bear in mind that online platform like QBO uses cache to run faster. But this can sometimes become corrupted, causing the program to malfunction.
Before that, make sure you have admin access or sales report permission to accomplish the task. Then, you can open your account in a private or incognito window for testing. This mode lets applications run smoothly without any corruption. Check out the following shortcut keys below for quick navigation:
Once logged in, go to the Reports menu and generate the statement. If you can access it, please get back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Another way is to utilize other supported browsers.
I’ve attached a reference in case you want to keep the same report settings for future use: Memorize reports in QBO. It helps you access the information quickly to save time.

I appreciate the solution attempt but that did not work. I did the incognito and the report was still not there, I also went ahead and cleared the cache anyway and that did not work. I will just continue to find a work around. It's just a nice report to see at the end of the year to see the individual product sales.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know if the solution worked, @twood721. Let me give you the support that can guide you further in fixing the concern that you're facing.
As the workaround suggested by my colleague didn't work at your end, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team so they can investigate this matter further and provide a resolution. Here's how:
