Where is the +new button?

With the new QuickBooks update, the icon has now moved to the top of the left-hand menu. The screenshot below will help you find its new location.

Keep in mind, the + New icon may not appear if you haven't cleared your browsing data. This article will show you how to clear your cache and cookies on different web browsers.

I just received an answer to an issue I am having and was directed this +new button. I have cleared my cache and still don't see it. I am using QB Desktop Pro Plus 2021.

I am using the Desktop Pro Plus 2022 version and I am unable to find the +new button. I am still learning quickbooks and have yet to find this. Could you please provide quidance?

The + New button is only available when you're using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) version. May I know what specific tasks are you trying to do so I can properly guide you? Please let us know by posting your questions here in the Community. We'll always be right here to help.

I'm trying to create a loan repayment and the first step is to click the +New button - which doesn't exist.

If you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO), the +New icon can be found in the upper-left corner of your main menu. Please refer to the screenshot below:

However, if the option is unavailable on your end, I'd recommend clearing your browser's cache and cookies or using a different supported browser.

On the other hand, if you're using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), the + New icon isn't available. QBDT is a more detailed software, thus accomplishing a specific task can be achieved in a different way. If you happen to use QBDT, feel free to add more details here on what you're trying to do so I can assist you appropriately.
