Why are my exports to excel showing the wrong date?

Hi Mark. There are several scenarios applicable to your inquiry. To better understand and address the situation, I have a few questions to ask.

When you mentioned the wrong dates, were you referring to a mismatch between QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) reports and the Excel export, or an issue with date formatting?

If the dates in your QBDT reports don’t match the exported ones, kindly try downloading another report to check if the same issue occurs. If it did, we recommend verifying and rebuilding your company data to rectify the mismatched dates.

Here's how to verify your company data :

  1. Navigate to Window, then choose Close All.
  2. Go to the File menu, then hover over  Utilities.
  3. Select Verify Data. If the message Your data has lost integrity appears, it indicates file damage. Rebuild your data to resolve the issue.

To revamp your company data, kindly follow the steps in the Rebuild your company file data section in this article: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

On the other hand, if you meant the wrong formatting date, we suggest checking the formatting date in your Excel and consulting with an IT expert if you need further assistance.

This thread remains open for any additional information you can add, or if you have additional QBDT inquiries.
