Why can't we customize a purchase order like we can invoices? I'm using the desktop app. I need to add logos as well as static account numbers by vendor to every po.

Purchase orders (PO) are documents you send to your vendors to state your intent to buy a product/service, define the details of the purchases, and an agreement with them to receive product/services under the agreed-upon terms. This is why you can't customize them like Invoices. You can add attachments to them with a limit of 20MB which will allow you to add a picture of a logo. However, I know this feature could be helpful for you and others in the future, so I'm personally going to submit feedback to our Engineering Team. The feature can then be considered for future updates.

I understand what a purchase order is and how it's used. I been using them for more than 30 years. It is just as important for purchase orders to be able to have our companies logos and account info on them.

We put our account number into each vendor's information page. This should print on the po every time it is printed.

I understand what purchase orders are as I've been using them for over 30 years. They should have our company logos on them just like invoices. If it can be done for invoices, it can be done for purchase orders.

We also put our account number in the vendor information page. This should automatically be added to every purchase order to help our vendors differentiate between customers. We have been confused with other companies with the same name.

Well, it has been two years since you sent this request for a logo on POs to your engineers and still we cannot add the logo.  Any update?

It is pretty frustrating not to have the ability to amend the PO so that it is inline with the company's other forms which are of a consitent font and layout,

The more I am using the online version having had it foisted on me the more I want to change

I'm infuriated by the fact I can't add my company logo to POs. It looks very unprofessional to my suppliers. FIX IT! You're forcing us to pay $80 more a month to make POs and now they look terrible. I'm literally making PDFs of POs and adding my logo manually. Great product gee thanks, give us desktop!

I just started using my QB online and am also very disappointed that we can't have our Logo on our POs. We've used quickbooks for at least 25 years and have always had professional looking Purchase Orders until now.

It doesn't look like you are making any effort since I see comments going back several years.

Will this ever be an option?

On the other hand, you can also send this suggestion to our product developers. That way, they can review it and most likely include it in future updates. Here's how:

I am very frustrated as well with not being able to add company logo to Purchase orders. Yes, I have submitted feedback. I don't expect anything actually as I see this has been going on for 2 years.... This is not making the president of our company happy either. All its doing is making more work for me as I have to add the logo in a different manner. Looking back it would have been nice to know that PO can't be customized .

Has there been any updates on getting a company logo added to purchase orders yet ?

The feature mentioned above is still currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. You can visit the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests webpage for any progress on the request. The feature will be implemented depending on the volume of the submitted suggestions.

I just went and looked and that does not even show. up !

Please explain why this was not a feature to begin with.For what the cost of this is a month you would ASSUME this would be something that the subscriber could do.Not for nothin but this does not show anywhere that I can see that this is not an option.

This is a joke - People all over here requesting this and nothing is done about it. While there are many other accounting options out there that allow this feature. How hard is it for your "Engineering Team" to add this feature when it is already there for Estimates and Invoices? When will this feature be added? When will a company like Intuit realize that it is our feedback the customers who pay for the service that is so important? I run (4) different companies on Quickbooks online totaling almost $400 a month in recurring income for Intuit. I ask that whoever it is that does not care to add this feature - adds it immediately.

Personally, I would also expect more options and flexibility if I pay a premium for a platform. So, I'd like to address your concerns about the ability to customize the purchase order form. 

We don't have the exact time and details on the plans to add the option to customize the purchase order from. 

If you haven't done it yet, we'll want to send feedback to our developers to add the option to customize the purchase order form. 

Click on the Gear icon, then select Feedback. 

I'm sure others have submitted their feedback about this, so the developers might consider adding this option in the future.

I am on this thread because I sold one of clients the ideal product QBO. And he got back to me yesterday saying the product has a major flaw of not having company logo on the PO. Looks like we are not going anywhere with the hue & cry. 

How is it possible that after 2 years of this major issue being brought to the attention of QB has absolutely nothing been done about it.  It is such a basic request to be able to customize a PO (font sizing and adding a logo) and to see nothing being done to help paying customers makes me really regret buying into this platform.

The ability to add a logo and remove the Approved by in your purchase order is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. I'd recommend looking for a third-party application that you can integrate with the program. You can visit our QuickBooks Apps Store website to find one that may suit your needs.

Wow! Anyone else wish they could charge what Intuit does and provide a product that lacks the most basic of functionality (editing a Purchase Order)? The solution "purchase a third party app". 

It has been 3 years this thread is alive and no results thus far. 

Anyone have any alternatives to QBO (we just switched from QBD). We can not send out illegible POs with no customization and useless signature lines. What is this the 1980's? 

Well I just searched this topic as I just reluctantly migrated over to online. Looks like it's been thoroughly discussed and requested and nothing has happened in 3 years. I'm no programmer but something tells me it is fairly simple to add logo functionality. Why then has this not been addressed?

I have just chosen QBO over Xero and now find your Purchase Orders lack of facility to show company logo and banking detail completely unprofessional. I am incredulous and disappointed that this fundamental is apparently seen as a nice to have.  It is essential to efficient operation and I add my support to the call to fix this real problem.

We use POs for to fulfill our customer's order from various vendors.  It would be great if there were a few functions:

1) The ability to automatically pull in the end customer's phone number.  All shipments require a phone number, yet we need to manually add this information on every PO.

2) The ability to send POs to more than one email.  Some of our vendors are small & if one person is off on vacation, they may never receive the order.

3) We're connected to our online store.  It would speed things up dramatically if we had the ability to copy sales receipts & the items on those receipts directly over to POs.
