I can clear things out why invoices are recorded under Sales and Sales of Product Income. When you set up an item, QuickBooks requires an income account to track the item.
You can verify the account used by going through the Product and Services page. Then, locate the item used for your invoices and change the account when needed.
Let me show you how:
- Go to Sales from the left navigation bar, then choose Product and Services.
- Locate and open the item by clicking Edit under Action.
- Look under the Income account field to know the account.
