Why is reimbursement of Tax Correction account necessary? I'm receiving an alert "Tax Correction currently inactive in your Chart of Accts". Why?

This alert came up when processing payroll for one employee, on a separate day from the group processing: "Tax Correction currently inactive in your Chart of Accts".  Why?

It's my responsibility to help you get rid of the alert so you can continue processing your employee's payroll.

 

You will receive this notification when a payroll item is assigned to an incorrect account. You need to edit it and replace it with an active account. I'll guide you through the steps.

 

  1. Go to Settings and select Payroll settings.
  2. Scroll down to the Accounting section.
  3. From the Wage expenses section, click the pencil icon.
  4. Choose the correct account.
  5. Hit Done.

 

In addition, you can generate payroll reports to view useful information about your business and employees.
