Hi there, @jim52.
Currently, the option to add the Terms field in the estimate is unavailable. This field is only available on your invoice.
I invite you to keep an eye on the QuickBooks Blog in the meantime. The Blog is a great resource offered to you, where you can view product updates and feature releases. I've also got an article you can use to change the design, layout, and information to your sales forms templates and use them any time: Customizing estimates and other forms.
Let me know if you have any questions. I’ll be here to keep helping. Have a great weekend.
thanks for the reply. But that sure is weak capability for QBO. Instead we have to type out the customers on each quote. QBO should be reducing our work
Right along with the other question I posted about removing "tracking #" & "PO #" from the estimate template. Totally unnecessary before you actually get an order from a customer.
Hi @jim52,
When creating an estimate, you have the option to tap the drop-down menu and choose a customer. This way, you don't have to type anything on the search box. This works best if you don't have a lot of customers on record.
In case you do, you can type in the first few letters of the customer in question. The search box will show suggestions of customers close to what you typed in. Instead of searching via the drop-down menu which will take some time.
Also, I appreciate you for providing us the opportunity to improve our product. Rest assured, we've taken note of what you mentioned about the Tracking # and PO # in Estimate templates.

Absolutely ridiculous that terms cannot be added to an estimate. And I agree, why would we want the tracking number for an ESTIMATE? There is no order at this point so there is no tracking. How easy it would be to allow every date field to be turned on or off. Get with it QB!
