Workaround for the ommission of price rules

Seriously does anyone have a workaround for the ommission of price rules in the update? I just don't understand how they think taking features away is solving anything.

Workaround for the ommission of price rules

I know that having this feature is beneficial to your business, @sara95.

I'll share an alternative to help you achieve your goal of utilizing price rules.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you still have the option to create several price rules. However, applying them to the invoice and estimates in the new layout experience is unavailable.

A workaround I can suggest is to look for a third-party app that meets your needs. I'll show you how to look for one. Here's how:

  1. From the left panel, click Apps.
  2. Go to the Find Apps tab.
  3. Use the search bar and enter the keyword to look for an app.
  4. Choose an app from the list.

As for which app you can use, although we're unable to recommend which ones to use, you can view an app's rating (stars at the bottom of the app's name). You can also open the app's page and read the user's comments on the app in question. It can give you a general idea of whether an app meets your company's standards.

@sara95

You can use CRM apps with the price rule feature to integrate with QBO as a workaround.

@sara95 can you elaborate on this?  Exactly how to do this?  Is this going to apply the price discounts missing from the new QB layout?

@Rea_M I do not want to hear these pointless suggestions of sending feedback.  I've been sending feedback every single day, multiple times a day. I have also been on the phone for hours with "Priority Circle".  Fix this software that many businesses have invested so much time and money on!  If this is not fixed we will need to move on!

Workaround for the ommission of price rules

You'll be glad to know that selected QuickBooks Online (QBO) Plus and Advanced users can now apply price rules to their invoices, @NatureBadger.

It's important to note that these rules won't be applicable if your Multicurrency option is enabled. If this is the case, you might want to consider SIAB's advice to use CRM third-party apps to achieve your task.

Here's how to find one:

  1. Log in to your QBO account.
  2. Navigate to the Apps menu.
  3. Open the Find apps tab.
  4. Enter any keyword in the search field or use the Browse categories or industries dropdown.
