Year over Year Income Graph Like The One On My QB Mac

Since I had to forcefully move from my QB Mac to QB Online, I can no longer see reports that I used to have access to. One that I cannot see or use anymore was the Year over Year Income viewed as sales by month and year to date. See photo. Since this is no longer available to me, does anyone know how to set this up on a spreadsheet ? This is a lot more work than it used to be. Screen Shot 2022-07-02 at 10.03.25 AM.jpeg

QuickBooks Online (QBO) has a similar report you can run, @georgeDN. And I'm happy to outline the detailed steps with you.

If you're using QBO Essential and QBO Plus, you can run the Business Snapchat. It is a panel that is updated in real-time with all information from your company that is entered into QuickBooks. The areas represented on this panel include:

  • Income trends
  • Expense charts
  • Previous Year Expenses Comparison
  • Previous Year Income Comparison
  • Balances of customers who owe you
  • Breakdown of all vendors whom you owe

Here's how to run:

  1. Go to the Reports tab on the upper right side.
  2. Type Business Snapchat in the search box.
  3. Filter the Date and Accounts, then review the data.
  4. You can click the Profit and Loss hyperlink to see the detailed information.

However, you can build charts using QBO Advanced and Accountant to see your business performance. For the step-by-step procedure, check out this link: Create graphs to see your business performance.

Some options that you do have are to export your reports to Excel. Then manipulate the data manually to view it in graph or chart form. Your Dashboard also allows you to get a snapshot of your business finances.

Furthermore, check out these articles below to know the different reports available in your subscriptions and how to customize them:

I'm right around the corner, so feel free to let me know if there's anything else you need. I'm happy to help you. Keep safe.

Year over Year Income Graph Like The One On My QB Mac

Thanks for the response. I use QB Simple Start, because it does what I need. I didn’t expect to have basic reports that I had on QB Mac not available to me now. I don’t want to upgrade and pay for a bunch of features I don’t need, other than these reports that I need.
My question was how can I do this on a spreadsheet, because I know it’s not available to me. This is all very unfortunate.
