Regular Income Category

My Profit & Loss "Regular Income" category does not match the "Regular Income" category when I pull it from the Chart of Accounts. I'm assuming they should match.

Regular Income Category

Hello, DRoot.

I'm here to explain why your Income category does not match when you pull up Profit & Loss and the Chart of Accounts in QBO.

If you run QuickReport in the Chart of Accounts, it will show all of your paid and unpaid invoices as long as the date filter is correct.

However, if you generate a profit and loss statement (P&L), this report will be relevant based on the reporting period and accounting method.

Only paid invoices will be displayed if you use the Cash method. But, if the Accrual method is used, all invoices will be displayed, regardless of whether they were paid or not. Just make sure the date filter is also correct.

Additionally, you can check out these quick guides about running reports in QBO:
