Report for Grant

QBO report needed that lists all the transactions of a grant

     Income (from P & L)

     Expenditure (from (P&L)

     Fixed Asset (from Bal Sh)

The only report I can find only shows P & L account transactions

Report for Grant

Welcome to the Community space, @begallo.

We can run the Transaction Detail by Account report and filter the Transaction Type. Pulling up this report will show all the transactions and total for each account in your chart of accounts.

To do this, here's how:

  1. In the left menu, click Reports
  2. Type in Transaction Detail by Account on the search bar.
  3. Tap the Customize button at the upper right hand.
  4. Set up Report period and Accounting method.
  5. Go to the Filter section.
  6. Put a checkmark on the Transaction Type box, then select the transactions used when recording the grant.
  7. Hit Run report

Report for Grant

Thanks for coming back to this thread, begallo.

Unfortunately, this type of report is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. For now, you'll want to consider exporting the Profit and Loss Detail report to an Excel file. From there. you'll be able to further customize the report to get a detailed view of the gross income, expenses, and net income of your grants.

When you're ready, here's how to do it:

  1. Select Reports from the sidebar menu.
  2. Under the Business overview section, choose Profit and Loss Detail.
  3. Set the appropriate reporting date and accounting method.
  4. Hit Run report, then click the Export icon (between the Print and Cog icon).
  5. Choose Export to Excel.
  6. Open and then customize the downloaded file.

Additionally, I recommend reading these articles to help streamline the reporting process in QuickBooks Online:
