Reprinting bank reconciliation

I reconciled the monthly bank statement and printed the reconciliation as usual.  The last column of the report is printing on separate pages.  I went into Reports, banking, previous reconciliation and right-clicked and selected print but none of the options under the Size tab size the rec so that all columns are on one page.  I don't understand why the print parameters changed in the first place and want to print the rec correctly.  Thanks.

It's nice to see you here in the Community, MaryTiki.

Let's get your printing issue corrected.

You may want to check the printer setup in QuickBooks Desktop and make sure the fit report option is selected.

Here's how:

  1. Click File at the top menu bar.
  2. On the drop-down list, click Printer Setup.
  3. For the Form Name, choose Report.
  4. Under Page Breaks, make sure Fit report to is not selected.
  5. Hit OK.

Reprinting bank reconciliation

Hello @michaelleemettry,

You'll want to download our QuickBooks Tool Hub and run the QuickBooks File Doctor tool. This process will help resolve common PDF and printing-related issues. Let me walk you through the steps.

  1. Close your QuickBooks. Then, download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it.
  2. Open the downloaded file (QuickBooksToolHub.exe), and then follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  3. Double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Once done, open your QuickBooks and try printing the report again. You can also export the report as a PDF or to Excel. You can learn more about exporting report at this link here: Export reports as Excel workbooks in QuickBooks Desktop.

We also have a guide on reports and accounting that I'm sure you'll find helpful.

Please know that you're always welcome to drop a comment anytime if you have other questions or concerns. The Community is here to lend a hand. Thanks for coming in and have a nice day ahead.

Reprinting bank reconciliation

I have this same problem, its not a corrupted company file, it happens I think every time there is a new install of quickbooks pro...once someone finally gives the right answer I'm going to make sure to save a copy where I can find it when we update again in three years.

File Doctor found nothing wrong - unsuprising since this new computer and new version has only been install for a couple of months.

Fit report to one page does not work.  A very standard report, Reconciliation Detail, creates both PDFs and prints with the final column of Balance on a separate page.  I have *years* of printouts of that report all on one page, and I remember fighting with this issue the last time a new version had to be installed (or it was when computer was replaced) and there is a setting, somewhere, that is non intuitive to find.

Various reports, particularly Reconciliation Detail is generationg extra pages for the final column instead of fitting all column on one page.

I see questions about this going back years as well, but not support article mentioning it.
