Sales Order Item Report

I need all that have been sold. This gives me only those that are still open. In any given month some will be closed the day they are sold.

Hello there, @dklimited2.

Let me help share details in generating a report showing a list of all your sales orders in QuickBooks Desktop.

You can customize one of your transaction list reports to pull up a record of sales orders within a selected date range. I'll walk you through the steps on how to accomplish this.

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Under Customers & Receivables, select Transaction List by Customer.
  3. Select Customize Report.
  4. Choose a report date range based on the sales orders you wanted to view.
  5. On the Filters tab, select Transaction Type and Posting Status.
    • Transaction Type = Sales Orders
    • Posting Status = Non-posting
  6. Click OK.

Here's an article to read and learn more about customizing a report: Customize Reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

I've also included this reference helpful with the steps needed to identify how stable is your business's financial status: Create and Manage Reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

Sales Order Item Report

This lists the sales orders including delivery and sales tax. Also, it does not give me a total.

I need a total dollar figure of all widgets sold this month. Regardless of whether they have been invoiced or not.

Good afternoon and thank you for that additional info, dklimited2.

I want to make sure you get the report you're looking for in your QuickBooks Enterprise account.

In this particular instance you may consider reaching out to a member of the QuickBooks Desktop Support Team. Agents have specialized tools available, such as the ability to share your screen. With that, an agent will be able to work alongside you to help you build the exact report you're looking for. It's always helpful for them to see what you're seeing on your side. That way you'll be back to work as quickly as possible.

Here's how to get in touch with the team:

1. With QuickBooks open, press the F1 key on your keyboard.
2. Select Contact Us.
3. Enter Support in the field and click Continue.
4. From here you can begin a live chat session with an agent.

The following article provides these steps if you ever need them again in the future: Contact the QuickBooks Desktop Customer Support Team

Additionally, you may want to check out a few third-party apps that can help with report building and will integrate directly with your Desktop account. Here's where to find them: Apps for QuickBooks Desktop

Please don't hesitate to reach back out if you have any other question or concerns. I'll be here to help in any way that I can.
