Sales Tax Report

I run the sales tax liability report monthly to pay my sales tax to the State. I'd like to expand the report to see how the column totals (total sales, non taxable sales, taxable sales) were calculated.  Ideally what invoices and sales receipts that contributed to the totals. How do I do that?

I've just got the steps you'll need to see what invoices and sales receipts contributed to the totals, RedTopConstruction.

It's pretty easy and really quick. From within the Sales Tax Liability page, double-click on the amount, an example is Non-Taxable Sales . From there, you can see all the invoices that contributed to the total amount.

I've added screenshots for your visual reference:

I've got your back if you have any other questions managing your sales tax in QBDT. Have a good one!

Sales Tax Report

Hey Glinette, this question is about the closest I've seen to mine regarding the Sales Tax Liability Report.  We use QBO and I am unable to match the dollar amount that QBO has for the last quarter Non-Taxable on the STLR.  When I click on that number, it merely brings me to the invoice from where it was pulled.  However, it does not give me a breakdown of how that number was calculated.  On one invoice alone, I can not figure out what is considered exempt because the numbers don't add up to what I calculate by hand.  Is there a way to better determine how QBO calculated the Non-Taxable amount?  In order for us to file taxes, we must categorize what is exempt.  I have played with the numbers for over 4 hours and can not determine how QBO calculated the Non-Taxable amount.  It does me little good to know what invoice(s) the number is derived if I can't determine how the number was determined.  Can you lend any insight to this dilemma?  Thanks.
