I'll help you connect your Square account to QuickBooks Online so you can easily import your sales transactions. Beforehand, there are a couple of things to do to ensure QuickBooks handles your Square transactions exactly how you want it to.

Let's start by connecting the bank account Square uses to deposit money from your sales. QuickBooks can then download your bank transactions and match them to your Square transactions.

Then, make sure to import Square products and services. This ensures the product and service names in QuickBooks match up exactly with what you have in the program. Here's how:

1. Open the Square program.
2.  Export your products and services as a CSV file.
3. Open QuickBooks and follow the steps to import products and services from your CSV file.

Once QuickBooks is set up the way you want, you’re ready to connect it to your Square account.

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Visit the Connect to Square page in the QuickBooks Online app store.
3. Select Get App Now, then choose Get started.
4. Click Give permission to grant permission for QuickBooks and Square to share product details.
5. Enter your Square account login credentials, then select Sign in.
6. Select the Square locations you want to sync with QuickBooks. Then, select the bank account where you want to deposit the location sales. Select Next.
7. For each of the selected Square locations, choose whether you want the app to import sales individually, or as a summary of your daily sales. Select Next.
8. Use the drop-down menu to select a starting date for the transactions. Later, you’ll be able to choose which transactions you want to add to QuickBooks.
9. Select Finish.
