sort by date in sales report - QB 2021 desktop

I cannot sort customer / jobs by date in a report in QB2021 desktop.

I used to do it before I was forced to upgrade from QB2019.

 Does anyone else have this problem?

Has anyone found a SOLUTION?
Chat support came up with nothing.
I am supposed to wait and assume "the engineers" are working on it.
In the meantime I find that not having this very basic function really hampers my ability to manage my sales.

I've checked our records and haven't seen any open investigation similar to yours, tomandreas.

 

This may be caused by a corrupted file. I'll help you fix it. Let's run the Verify/Rebuild utility to detect the data damage. Here's how:
 

  1. Go to the File menu, then hover over Utilities and select Rebuild Data.
  2. On the QuickBooks Information window, select OK. Follow the onscreen steps to save a backup.
  3. Let the tool repair your file. It may take some time. QuickBooks may seem stuck, but as long as you can move your mouse, the tool is working.
  4. When the tool finishes, select OK.
  5. Go to the File menu. Then hover over Utilities and select Verify Data.
  6. Let the tool check your file for data issues.

Once done, pull up the report again and check if you can now sort them.

Thanks for stepping in.

I tried the rebuild data utility earlier, as well as every update I could find.

So far nothing has worked.

  1. Go to the Help menu once you open QuickBooks.
  2. Click QuickBooks Desktop Help or press F1 on your keyboard.
  3. Select Contact us button. 
  4. Enter a short description of your concern in the Tell us more about your question box. 
  5. Hit Search. Select Start a message.

I had a lengthy screen sharing session, but ended up with no result. Seems no on knows how to fix this.

I am told to wait while the problem is fixed by the engineers, but I have heard nothing back and I am not confident that it is being looked at.
