Suddenly unable to create invoices in Self-employed. Tried both Safari & Chrome. Please help.

Was able to create invoices last week. Unable to today.

Beforehand, May I ask if you receive a specific error message when trying to create invoices? I appreciate any further information so I can present accurate solutions.

 

For now, I recommend logging in to your QuickBooks Self Employed account using a private browser. Then, start creating invoices from there. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue and ensure private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

 

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:

 

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

 

If it works in incognito, you'll need to clear the cache of your regular browser. This clears the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.

Thanks for following the initial steps to fix the invoicing issue, @lauren-kelly379-

 

We've been receiving reports about the same issue. Hence, this is currently under investigation by our engineers. 

 

In the meantime, I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed team to let them know that you're one of the affected users. That way, your account will be linked and automatically receive an update of its status via email communication. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the QB Assistant option.
  2. Type in “Talk to a human.”
  3. Select either Message an agent for a live chat or Get a callback to get a call from our support team.
