Hi teambrown. This sounds like a common type of issue experienced whenever the cached images are full in your web browser. Luckily it's rather easy to fix. First I recommend you use the Google Chrome web browser to access QuickBooks Online. If you're already using Google Chrome here's a quick guide to clearing your cached images and files:
After the operation completes itself, restart the browser and open QuickBooks Online. If using Google Chrome isn't an option, check out the article on clearing cache and cookies for quick guides for most other common browsers. Let me know if this helps. Or if you just have other questions, the reply button is a click away.
The trashcan disappeared for two days and then reappeared - but at the same time this was happening- the shoes untied images were in the dashboard on and off - and from time to time the dashboard amount was "0" when there was quite a lot of sales for the year. Last night the trashcan re-appeared and I have not seen the images on the dashboard all day - so it fixed itself - just like other things usually do with Quickbooks. I did not have to clear my cache - that didn't seem to be the issue.
Good day, teambrown.
I'm here to share additional details about this behavior of QuickBooks Online.
I understand that the error fixes itself. Though, I'd still suggest performing the steps shared by Steve_C. A cache is a junk file that causes unusual behavior and errors in QuickBooks Online. It'd also be best to clear them on a regular basis to avoid the same issue in the future.
