I am running a transaction report by class to show all the activity (I have deposits and payments). I need to include the check number and have selected that but it is not showing. The column is there but the check is not. I think it has something to do with the "type". The bill type is showing but the Bill-Check type is not. How do I include this type? I don't see type as a filter. Thanks!
Thanks for giving me the details, @SAHSulloway.
Let me give you a specific report that could run a transaction by the class that includes the check number and bill-payment check number.
The Columns must have the Type, Date, Num, Name, Account, Class, Split, Debit, and Credit.
Let me show you how:
This is what it looks like when you've run this report. Specified or personalize reports should be run by using Custom Reports.

This is so detailed and I thank you. My problem remains with the "type". I used the Vendors tab and entered bills and paid bills. This is a RE closing so it is not a customer transaction. So the deposit/wire is picked up and the bill (vendor invoice) is picked up but the check is not. When I manually enter the activity using "write checks" the report picks up what I need. When I look at the check by "print bills", there is nowhere that the class is showing so could that be my problem? I can't thank you enough.
Hello there, SAHSulloway.
What vendor report that we are pulling up? For a detailed reporting of the transactions, we can use what my colleague suggested.
We're unable to enter a class on the Pay Bills window since we base the class details from its bill. It's possible that we didn't enter a Class on the Bill that's why it didn't show up. We can further check on the bill and enter a class either per line item or as a transaction. Then, we can filter the report or refresh it if we're currently opening one.
We can check out this article that will help us customize a report by class. We might want to Memorize the report we've customized so we don't have to add the filters and columns all over again.
I'm here if you need anything else. Thanks!
