Turn off autopay

Hello there, @shenderson3.

 

I'll ensure you can turn off auto payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

When you want to cease paying your employees via Auto Payroll, you need to unenroll them. 

 

To do this, make sure you're logged in to your QBO account as the Primary Admin.

 

Once done,  you can proceed with the steps below to turn off the Auto Payroll option.

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then Payroll settings.
  2. From the Auto Payroll box, select the Edit icon.
  3. Click Select Employees for Auto Payroll.
  4. Select one or more of the enrolled employees.
  5. Hit Save changes.
  6. Review the confirmation window, then select Done.
