You'll use a Schedule C form to report your self-employed income and expenses in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). With this, you'll have to make sure you categorize all your transactions accordingly to put them to the correct line of the said form.
In line with this, you can apply your apartment rent payment to two possible categories. You can use either the following:
You can apply the Rent and lease category when you're using your apartment as your office space for your self-employed work. While the latter one (Other business expenses) can be used when the rent isn't fit other categories. However, I'd still recommend consulting your accountant on which category you need to apply for your rent payment. This way, you can keep your financial data accurate and able to file the right amount of taxes to the agency.
